Calcutta: Former Bengal captain Gopal Bose will be the India manager in the Under-19 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur in February-March. The India squad has a representative from the state in wicketkeeper-batsman Sreevats Goswami.

Bose got a hundred in the unofficial Test he played against Sri Lanka in 1973-74 after opening the innings with Sunil Gavaskar. He also played in an ODI on the tour of England in 1974.
