New Delhi: India have been seeded 22nd for the qualification draw for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup to be held in Qatar.

The seedings were decided according to the results in the 2007 Asian Cup in south-east Asia and their qualifiers.

As per the qualification process, India, seeded just ahead of Lebanon in the first round of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, will face a side seeded between 20th and 27th in the first round of qualification on home and away basis.

As such, India could be up against one of Kuwait, Singapore, Lebanon, North Korea, Myanmar, Maldives and Turkmenistan. The draw will be made in Kuala Lumpur on December 17.        (PTI)
