National Weightlifting
Imphal, Nov. 30: Manipur was declared team champions in the 44th Boys’ and 20th Girls’ Junior National Weightlifting meet which concluded at SAG Hall today.
In the women’s group, Manipur earned 786 points with 22 medals, including six golds. In the men’s category, Manipur culled 550 points. S. Yamini of Andhra Pradesh and K. Ravikumar of Orissa earned the best lifter titles in the women’s and men’s events.
