Post offices open doors for fund investments

Ranchi, Nov. 27: UTI’s Infrastructure Advantage Fund Series-1 would be sold through post offices, reports our correspondent.

The latest equity scheme from was launched recently.

Today, the post office mode of inventing in the fund was inaugurated here by chief postmaster general of Jharkhand circle Abhay Shekhar Prasad and UTI’s vice-president Nilay Kumar.

Nilay Kumar said the return from the UTI fund is beneficial. “Till now there has been a business of Rs 15 crore through Jharkhand post offices. This is an encouraging trend,” added Kumar.

The director of Jharkhand postal service, Anil Kumar, asked people to invest in the new policy. “All the money mobilised would be invested in infrastructure projects, which has great a future as government is planning to invest Rs 20,00,000 crore to develop infrastructure in the next five years,” said Anil Kumar.

He said the postal department would make PAN card applications available in the post offices of Jharkhand within the next few days.

On the occasion, around 45 postal workers who had brought in business through UTI’s Life Style Fund were felicitated. Director Anil Kumar got the highest achiever award for financial services.
