Supplier heads for Singur
Calcutta, Nov. 25: The Murugappa group will invest in Tata Motors’ small car project at Singur in Bengal for making auto components. “We will invest Rs 150 crore for our auto component business in the next one year, which includes a plan to invest in Singur to make door panels for the Tata small car project,” Murugappa group chairman M.M. Murugappan said. The investment of around Rs 25 crore will be made by group company Tube Investments India.
New Delhi, Nov. 25: The WTO has asked India to furnish full details of the “subsidy” announced for its sugar exporters, after Australia and Thailand placed the issue before the multilateral body in Geneva. Australia and Thailand are the leading producers and exporters of the sweetener.
New Delhi, Nov. 25: Uco Bank plans to raise over Rs 450 crore through a follow-on public offer and will approach Sebi by the end of December for its approval. “We plan to file draft prospectus for the offer by the end of December or early January as we hope to get the government nod on capital recast plan soon,” chairman and managing director S.K.
