Ranan, in association with Max Mueller Bhavan and Sanved, presents Proximities II, one of the many interactive sessions which provides a forum to share ideas, experimentations, ongoing research and processes cutting across artistic / creative disciplines spanning dance, drama, music, philosophy, history and the sciences. From Ballet to Dance Therapy is an interactive session featuring Fe Reichelt, the internationally noted dance therapist from Berlin. Reichelt began studying dance in Germany in the early Forties. She honed and perfected her skills as a dancer under Mary Wigman. After this she founded her own ballet schools in Celle and Munich. From 1968 onwards, Reichelt devoted her attention to developing dance as therapy and working with people suffering from substance abuse. Reichelt since has published numerous books on expressionistic dance, breathing techniques and dance-therapy.
