Angaria duo

Midnapore, Nov. 13: The CBI today filed a petition in the West Midnapore district court requesting the judge to present in court Sukur Ali and Tapan Ghosh, who were wanted in the 2001 Chhoto Angaria case and were arrested in Egra on Saturday night.

The plea was granted. The CPM leaders will be in the court on November 21.

CBI deputy superintendent P.S. Basu, however, ruled out taking them into custody. “We want them to be produced to update our records,” he said.
