Guwahati/Mangaldoi, Nov. 12: Three soldiers and a civilian were wounded in firing by Ulfa militants at Ramdalipara village of Darrang district in the wee hours of today.

Deputy superintendent of police Kunja Behari Bhuyan said the incident occurred when a team from the Rangia-based Red Horns Division raided a house in the village around 3am. The militants hiding in the house, belonging to a man identified as Sarat Deka, greeted the army team with bullets and escaped.

Apart from an army captain and two of his men, Deka’s 25-year-old son Dipak was wounded in the firing.
