New Delhi, Nov. 6 (PTI): Criminal proceedings against an accused in a cheque-dishonouring case can be quashed if the statutory notice sent by the complainant is vague or improper, the Supreme Court has ruled.
An omnibus notice without specifying the amount due under the dishonoured cheque would not subserve the requirement of law, the bench said, dismissing an appeal filed by a real estate firm.
