Has Puja become more commercial than religious?

DEFINITELY NOT. It’s still a grand religious event which is reflected by the sheer numbers who turn up to worship Goddess Durga, come rain or shine.

Yes. The Pujas have been reduced to merely an event that rakes in the moolah for the organisers. The focus has shifted from the goddess to magnificent pandals.

Yes. these Days, the organisers are much too busy trying to win prizes. So, they don’t pay much attention to carrying out the rituals of the puja properly.
