Director Sriram Johnny Gaddaar Raghavan is already pursuing darker cinematic pastures after his slick heistathon received rave reviews. But it turns out that the new Mrs Bachchan, for reasons known best to her (or Mr), is poised to walk out of the project that also stars hubby Abhishek and John Abraham.

Producer Rohan Sippy (a close associate of AB Baby) is going all the way to France in a bid to keep Ash in the film. But Plan B is simultaneous being put in place — if the buzz is to be believed, it girl Deepika Padukone is being lined up in case of an Ash crash and the tentative title is Dream Girl.

When we sent a text message to the director asking him for confirmation, he said he would be able to confirm both (heroine and title) in a few days. We are waiting.

Two romantic

Imtiaz Ali seems to believe in romantic repeats. His second film Jab We Met with Shahid and Kareena is a romantic comedy, very much like his debut Socha Na Tha. Shahid and Kareena play rejected lovers who crisscross quixotic paths — while Kareena is on a boyfriend hunt, Shahid is in khudkhushi mode. The film, like Imtiaz’s earlier one, questions the fate of two lovers guided by Cupid’s arrow on a road trip of sorts. A similar script, Imtiaz' Yeh socha na tha.
