House team on UK trip

Calcutta, Oct 20: Five Bengal legislators will go on a weeklong visit to London, where they will interact with members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

“We shall discuss wide-ranging issues starting from forcible land acquisition for Tata Motors’ small car plant, Mamata Banerjee’s 26-day fast and the March 14 firing in Nandigram to the Gorkhaland agitation in Darjeeling,” said Trinamul Congress’s Partha Chatterjee, who heads the delegation that will leave on Monday.

Syed Mohammed Mosih (CPM), Manas Bhuniya (Congress), Tarapada Chakraborty (Forward Bloc) and Shanta Chhetri (GNLF) make up the rest of the team.
