Calcutta, Oct. 13: The Met office today warned of rains in the city and other parts of Gangetic Bengal during the next 48 hours.

A cyclonic circulation has developed over the east-central Bay of Bengal, said G.C. Debnath, the director of the weather section at the Regional Meteorological Centre in Alipore.
