Swiss firm to sue DRL

Zurich, Sept.25: Swiss drugmaker Roche Holding is taking legal action in the US against Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to stop it selling a generic version of Roche’s osteoporosis drug Boniva. Roche has filed a complaint against Dr. Reddy’s in a New Jersey court after the company notified Roche of its intention to launch a generic product, spokesperson Martina Rupp said. Roche says Boniva, which is sold as Bonviva in Europe, is covered by patents running from 2012 to 2023.

New Delhi, Sep 25: The government today said all companies or organisations that deduct tax at source will have to file the PAN of people or companies they are paying to with the income tax authorities.

New Delhi, Sept. 25: After a delay of more than five months, the government is likely to notify the guidelines for evaluating fringe benefit tax on stock options given by companies to their employees in a week.

New Delhi, Sept. 25: Computer sales are on a high growth trajectory, with personal computer sales crossing 1.7 million units in the first quarter of this fiscal compared with 1.2 million units in the same period of the previous fiscal, according to Manufacturers Association of Information Technology.
