Suzuki export hub

Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd plans to invest Rs 150 crore in the next two and half years to expand capacity and augment its product portfolio. The company will expand its capacity to four lakh units from 1.7 lakh by 2010. Suzuki plans to export its products after it diversifies its portfolio. It exports only to Nepal now. The company expects to garner a 4 per cent market share in two years.

Omnitech

Omnitech Infosolutions Ltd is entering into a joint venture with Sanwell Company Ltd to form a company In Japan. Omnitech will enter this venture through Omnitech TSB Company ltd, in which it holds a 67 per cent stake.

Power project

The World Bank has approved a $400-million loan to Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam to develop a run-of-river hydropower plant, Rampur Hydropower Project, on the Satluj.

HCL Info

HCL Infosystems Ltd’s retail initiative, HCL Digilife Stores, has received the Most Admired Retailer of the Year award in the Consumer Durables and Electronics category at the Images Retail Awards 2007.

Peepul Cap

iLabs Management LLC has changed its name to Peepul Capital LLC. The company has also announced an investment fund of $214 million. With this fund, Peepul Capital will have $325 million under its corpus of managed and investment funds.

Mumbai-based Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt Ltd, an institutional brokerage house, has opened a branch in Durgapur.

SunTechnics

SunTechnics GmbH, a renewable energy system provider has opened a branch office in the city. The company has also announced new ventures and expansion plans for eastern India.

Xenos pact

Xenos Technologies Ltd has entered into a pact with Abel Auto. Under the pact, Xenos will market and distribute Abel’s range of car care products in the country.
