SUBJECT: The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) of TIFR, Pune and the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune, invite applications from those who are interested in doing a PhD in physics at either of these institutes.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants should have an MSc in physics / electronics / astronomy / applied mathematics or a BE / BTech / ME / MTech degree, with a consistently good academic record.

Selection for research scholarships under the PhD programme will be through a written test and an interview. This is in addition to the selection through JEST-2008.

SUBJECT: The institute invites applications for the two-year full-time MSc course in wildlife biology and conservation, which is affiliated to the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, a deemed university.

ELIGIBILITY: Indian nationals, who have completed their graduation or are in the process of completing their graduation in any discipline with an aggregate of at least 50 per cent marks in the core subjects, can apply for admission. Students will be selected through a written test and an interview.

PARTICULARS: All those who are selected will receive studentships that cover fees and living expenses.

SUBJECT: The institute invites applications for its two-year postgraduate diploma courses in management (PGDM) and in international business (PGDIB).

ELIGIBILITY: Graduates from any University Grants Commission-recognised college or university with valid CAT/ XAT or GMAT scores can apply for admission. GBS will maintain a single application mechanism for the PGDM and PGDIB programmes.

PARTICULARS: Applicants have to purchase a GBS application kit for Rs 950. The application can be downloaded from the institute’s website.

In phase I of the application process, applications will be evaluated on the basis of CAT / XAT / GMAT scores, their academic record and extracurricular activities. In phase II, performance in a group discussion / presentation / other group test and personal interview will be used to make admission decisions.
