Siliguri, Aug. 28: Residents of the town are gearing up to welcome its second Arjuna award winner, Shuvojit Saha.

Shuvojit is the second sportsperson from north Bengal, after Mantu Ghosh (also a national-level paddler), who will receive this award.

The prize, that comprises Rs 3 lakh in cash, a bronze statuette and a scroll, will be handed over by the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow at 4.30pm.

“I am excited that my dream will be fulfilled after a few hours,” the ace paddler told The Telegraph over phone from Delhi.

Shuvojit and the other recipients attended a rehearsal function at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. He is expected back here on Thursday.
