Calcutta: Andrew Flintoff underwent a scan on Saturday, which revealed mild inflammation to his right knee. Flintoff suffered stiffness in his knee during Friday’s second ODI on Friday. Following the scan, the allrounder received a cortisone injection.

According to a media release from the England and Wales Cricket Board, he will continue to be assessed by the medical team on Sunday.

Gloucestershire bowler Jon Lewis has been called up to the England squad as cover for the next two matches.
