Nayeem wishes Bob luck

New Delhi: Syed Nayeemuddin is known for his humble and impeccable manners. It was no different on Thursday when the former India coach met his successor Bob Houghton.Nayeemuddin, now the Bangladesh chief coach, arrived in the capital with his team for the Nehru Cup. As he entered the hotel lobby, Nayeem spotted Houghton and walked up to him.

“I am an Indian and wish you the best for the tournament,” Nayeem said as he shook hands with the British coach. “I have come with the team to learn here.”

A smiling Houghton exchanged pleasantries for a few minutes.

“We have an inexperienced team, still to take a proper shape,” Nayeem said of his team.
