Bhubaneswar, July 22: A mild tremor measuring 3.2 on Richter scale was felt at parts of the temple town late last night.
Parts of Bhubaneswar, including Nayapalli, Khandagiri, and Sailashree Vihar experienced the quake that struck at 10.04pm and lasted for a few seconds. Panic gripped residents, who rushed out of their houses as doors and windows rattled. Director of meteorology centre S.C. Sahoo said the quake’s epicentre was some 27km from Bhubaneswar. The reasons for the tremor are yet to be ascertained, he added.
