Dow at record high
Mumbai/New York, July 17: The Dow Jones industrial average, the benchmark index of the US stock market, has crossed the 14000-level. It took just 57 trading sessions for Dow Jones to cover the journey from 13000 to 14000. The index touched a high of 14002 within 30 minutes of trading today on the NYSE, but later fell to 13989.19 points.
Ferrari move
New Delhi, July 17: Italian sports car maker Ferrari plans to roll out cars in India in a tie-up with the Tata group, a TV report said. A Tata Motors official declined to comment. An e-mail sent to Ferrari remained unanswered.
WBIDC site
Calcutta, July 17: Bengal industry minister Nirupam Sen today launched the redesigned website of the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC). The site will provide information on the investment scenario in the state.
