Shambo fate

London, June 26 (PTI): A “sacred” bull that contracted bovine tuberculosis in a Welsh temple is to be slaughtered despite protests from Hindus.

The Welsh Assembly today said it had provisionally decided to give vets the go-ahead to slaughter shambo in order to “protect animal and human health”. The Hindu Forum of Britain had called on Hindus to form a human chain around the temple where Shambo has been placed in isolation.
