shot dead two persons, including a member of its civilian
wing, for alleged “treachery” and attempt to defect to rival
National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang) on Saturday
near Wokha town in Nagaland. The dead have been identified
as Shanbemo Ovung (25), an NSCN (I-M) activist, and a civilian
identified as Dipen Singh (19).
Police later found the bodies from Elumyo village along with
an empty shell of a US carbine from the site.
On Friday, Ovung and Singh were reportedly fleeing on a Mokokchung-bound
