Mumbai: Former Test batsman Dilip Sardesai has been admitted to the Bombay Hospital for chest infection.
Sardesai is undergoing treatment for chest infection. His condition was serious during admission, but he has made good progress since and is now stable. Hes still in the ICU for observation, the hospital spokesperson said.
According to sources close to the 66-year-old former middle order batsman, Sardesai had been admitted earlier this week.
Sardesai, who turns 67 on August 8, played 30 Tests between 1961 and 1973, amassing over 2000 runs with five centuries, including an innings of 212, at an average of just under 40. (PTI)
