Jeev grouped with Kim, Wilson

New Delhi: The lone Indian in the US Open golf field, Jeev Milkha Singh will tee off at the season’s second major with Americans Anthony Kim and Dean Wilson.

The three golfers will start their campaign at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania on Thursday. The par 70 course will present a unique challenge to the best players in the world.

Jeev, ranked 58th in the world at the moment had a dream run in 2006 winning four titles in different parts of the globe which took his year-end ranking to 37.

However, after reaching a career high of 36 at the beginning of the year, subsequent disappointing performances have seen a fall in his rankings.

The 21-year-old Kim hails from Dallas, Texas, and turned professional only last year. He is ranked 83rd in the world at present.

Wilson, 37, is comparatively more experienced and turned pro way back in 1992. The native of Kaneohe in Hawaii is ranked one place higher than Kim.
