New Delhi: The Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) on Thursday recalled a host of senior players to the conditioning camp for the Champions Challenge Cup to be held in Belgium from June 23 to July 1.
The camp will be held at the SAI Centre in Bangalore from May 23 to June 12.
Asian Games captain and ace defender Dilip Tirkey, who couldnt make the Azlan Shah tournament because he was busy playing the Dutch league, has been named among the 32 probables. Viren Rasquinha and Deepak Thakur have also been recalled along with Gaganajit Singh, Prabhjot Singh and Sandeep Singh.
Interestingly, Gangula Prasad, who coached Gopi Chand to All England badminton triumph a few years ago, has been named trainer. Prasad is believed to be roped in to work on the reflexes of the goalkeepers.

Goalkeepers: Adrian DSouza, Bharat Chetri, Baljit Singh and Gurpreet Singh. Defenders: Dilip Tirkey, William Xalco, Raghunath, Tussavurjit Singh, Sandeep Singh and Sunil Yadav. Midfielders: Gurbaj Singh, Vikram Kanth, Bimal Lakra, Sardar Singh, Prabodh Tirkey, Pawal Lakra, Senthil Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, Ajitesh Roy and Viren Rasquinha. Forwards: Rajpal Singh, Roshan Minz, Bharat Chikkara, Prabhjot Singh, Deepak Thakur, Tushar Khandekar, Shivendra Singh, Bruno Lugan, Yudhvir Singh, Sunil Kumar, Damandeep Singh and Gaganajit Singh.
