Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan): India’s Sushil Kumar won silver in the 66kg category of the Asian Wrestling Championships on Wednesday.
Kumar lost 2-0, 0-1 (by fall) to Iran’s Hassan Tahmasi. The bronze medals went to Jung Young-Ho of South Korea and U. Bayarkhuu of Mongolia.
In the 120kg category, India’s Palwinder Singh Cheema won bronze with a 1-1, 1-0, 2-0 win over South Korea’s Lee Se-hyung.The gold was won by Iran’s Fardin Masoumi Valadi, who beat Marid Mutalimov of Kazakhstan 2-0, 1-4, 1-0. (AGENCIES)
