Melbourne: Leg-spinner Stuart MacGill, who boycotted Australia’s last tour of Zimbabwe three years ago, has asked his teammates to take a closer look at the situation in the African nation.

The world champion’s next assignment is a one-day series in Zimbabwe in September.

“It’s naive to think that sport and politics don’t mix,” MacGill was quoted saying in an Australian daily. (PTI)
