Roads to avoid

All major thoroughfares between 11 am and noon. Trinamul Congress will organise roadblocks to protest the Nandigram killings. All major roads in between Deshapriya Park and Bijon Setu, 3 pm. Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha will organise a procession.

School

Calcutta International School’s new campus at Anandapur, off Ruby General Hospital, will be inaugurated, 5.30 pm. Followed by an art auction.

Book

Bengal Divided: The Unmaking of a Nation (1905-1971) by Nitish Sengupta will be released at Raj Bhavan, 4 pm.

Music

Concert featuring Regis Gizava and David Miranando, at Princeton Club, 7.30 pm. Sarod recital by Ranajit Sengupta at Calcutta School of Music, 7 pm.

Sports

Inter-club sports carnival, in association with The Telegraph, at Saturday Club, 4 pm.
