Serpent in rice

Siliguri, April 21: Students at a hostel in Alipurduar in Jalpaiguri district reportedly found a dead serpent in the rice they were served at lunch.

At least 10 students felt giddy and started vomiting. Five of them were admitted to the Alipurduar sub-divisional hospital. The students took out a rally carrying the plate of rice.

Chinsurah: Three persons died and 14 were injured when their bus collided with a mini truck on Dankuni-Delhi Road. The victims were returning from a Congress rally in Calcutta.
