PEC meeting

Calcutta: Former PCB chairman Tauqir Zia and team manager Talat Ali expressed their views on Pakistan’s World Cup debacle to the three-member Performance Evaluation Committee (PEC) headed by Ijaz Butt.

According to a release issued by the PEC, Zia and Ali also offered suggestions for the betterment of Pakistan cricket.

Former PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan wanted the questionnaire to be sent to him in advance. He also said he would discuss the matter with Dr Nasim Ashraf before meeting Butt, Salim Altaf and Salahuddin Ahmed. The committee next meets Thursday.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are set to play a three-match ODI series in Abu Dhabi next month after the Abu Dhabi Cricket Council (ADCC) received the funding required to host the matches.
