Kokrajhar, April 1: Police are yet to arrest the two gunmen who were allegedly involved in the killing of a security officer of a BTC councillor at Kumarikhata market in Baksa district on Saturday evening.

Havildar Bipin Saikia, PSO to BTC councillor Rabindra Bala Biswas from Nagarjuli, was the victim.

The assailants also snatched the weapons of security officer before escaping on a motorcycle parked near the site of the incident.

Sources said the police are still investigating the matter and refused to divulge further details. There is tension in the area.
