I was born in France and have been a journalist for 14 years. I have collaborated with a number of Indian non-governmental organisations in order to provide help to our less fortunate friends. Through my novel, the rickshaw pullers of Bengal have gained iconic status. Two of my novels, Is Paris Burning? and The City of Joy have been made into motion pictures.
