Tension after rape

Midnapore, March 5: Nandigram was tense today as the news of the housewife’s gangrape spread. The accused, said to be part of the anti-acquisition campaign, are still absconding. CPM leader Ashok Guria said: “Now that Madhyamik is over, our rallies will begin.”

‘Mad’ slur

Calcutta: Co-operation minister Rabindra Ghosh claimed on Monday that he has made peace with N.R. Banerjee, his former departmental secretary. Banerjee had threatened to sue Ghosh for calling him “mad”.
