Ranchi,
Feb. 25: After withdrawing support to the Madhu
Koda government, the All India Forward Bloc has decided
to sit in the Opposition in the Assembly.
It is believed that the party has requested the Speaker to make separate sitting arrangements for its members in the House.
The Forward Bloc has two members in the Jharkhand Assembly.
The party’s Nirsa MLA Aparna Sengupta said: “I have not yet received any communication from the party high command. But since we have already withdrawn support to the Koda government, it is obvious that we will be sitting in the Opposition in the Assembly. But, we are not going to sit with the NDA.”
She however refused to comment on whether her party would join hands with the NDA while voting against the Koda government or if they would boycott voting.
This, she said, would be decided by the party high command.
However, she said the party whip would be applicable to health minister Bhanu Pratap Sahi also.
The Forward Bloc withdrew support to the Koda government after the chief minister included Sahi in the government.
