Jamshedpur, Feb. 25: After singers from the steel city sizzled on the television screen, television show “Colgate Antakshari” arrived at the Telco Club to conduct auditions for their central zone team.
The recently re-launched programme on Star One will begin with a “relative special”. So, brothers, sisters, cousins and spouses queued up for a 30-second break to fame.
“There is a different flavour in Indian family relationships. Mama, chacha — every relationship has a different name. The dynamics of family members competing as a team is different,” says Anand Sharma, music director and judge for the auditions here.
A team of sisters-in-law was equally excited and nervous during the audition. “We win contests in all our community activities. We are good with old songs, but are not very confident of new age music,” said Nilema Adesera along with Pragna Adesera.
