Ranchi, Feb. 9: Forward Bloc MLA Aparna Sengupta’s withdrawal of support to the government last evening might have struck him like a bolt from the blue, but chief minister Madhu Koda is putting up a brave front today.

This morning, Koda was seen holding meetings and discharging routine business as usual — that includes nurturing plants and flowers in his garden — brushing aside fears that the move might leave his government gasping for breath. The Forward Bloc will soon reconsider its decision to withdraw support, a confident Koda said.

“The Forward Bloc should understand that I am bound by compulsions of coalition politics. Sahi expressed his desire of becoming a ministe,” Koda said.
