New site plea
A section of authors and “book-lovers” came together on Tuesday and urged the Publishers and Booksellers Guild to identify an alternative site for hosting Book Fair 2007. The gathering at Calcutta Press Club was organised by NGO Pather Panchali.
Missing
Deepak Paramanik, a 45-year-old burns patient from Budge Budge, walked out of SSKM Hospital unnoticed on Monday morning. He was admitted to the hospital with his wife on January 27. The wife had died a few hours later.
