Kathmandu, Jan. 29 (PTI): An Indian national, who was seriously injured during the recent violence in the Terai, died last night of his wounds in Birgunj.

Mahavir Shah Kanu, who hailed from Bihar, was injured during a police baton charge in Birgunj near the Indian border. Kanu died at his house in after receiving treatment at a local hospital, police spokesman Kiran Gautam said here. The Terai region has been rocked by violent protests for the last 11 days.
