Ranchi, Jan. 28: It was a battle of brains at the St Xavier’s today.
IMS organised the city qualifier round of their national-level quiz, IMS Quotient, at the St Xavier’s College hall.
Over 100 teams, comprising three undergraduate collegians each, participated in the quiz.
After a grand debut in 10 cities last year, IMS Quotient is being organised in Ranchi to find the smartest collegians in town who can “think their way to national fame”.
Students jostled for space at the college hall.
Six teams made it to the final after a gruelling written preliminary round.
Of the teams selected, three were from BIT, Mesra, and three from NIT, Rourkela. The winner of the qualifier round will win a two-day cruise to Goa.
Ravi Handa, alumni of IIT, Kharagpur, and a faculty of IMS, was the quiz master.
IMS Quotient would be held in 24 cities across the country. The national winners would get the grand prize of a 10-day study tour to Australia and the winning college would get Rs 1 lakh as a grant from the N.R. Rane Trust.
