For the book

AS Roma came from behind to draw 2-2 with AC Milan in the first leg of their Italian Cup semi-final at the San Siro stadium on Thursday. Trailing to early goals by Ricardo Oliveira and Filippo Inzaghi, Roma hit back through Simone Perrotta and David Pizarro to level the score at the interval before missing several chances to win the match in the second half. With away goals counting double in the case of the tie ending in a draw, Roma are in a good position ahead of the return leg on January 31.
