Maid for each other!

The director duo of Tathagata Banerjee and Anindya Ghosh had been lying low for some time, finding the television scenario a bit barren. But being among the more creative filmmakers, their return to the small screen to make this telefilm, Manisha, was lure enough to visit their set. And then there was this other bait actor Shiladitya Patranobis dangled before us. He and his current squeeze, actress Pauli Dam, had joined hands too for another cause: they were producing the telefilm, with a leg-up from senior artiste Ranjana Banerjee. And then there was this fascinating theatre artiste Anandi Basu who has begun breaking into the small screen. All put together, juice enough.

TB and AG were going about their task like they were never away even for an hour, and it does help vastly to have a Man Friday like Arin Paul. And, maybe, an upcoming artiste like Pauli who has already begun displaying a penchant for directorial and camera ability, hopefully helpful to the directors and cameramen. Pauli, of course, plays the title role in Manisha.

Shiladitya, as usual, was in good spirits and no earthly or unearthly hour can dampen his enthu for friendliness. And then he had a producing partner like Pauli there and was more than enthu to pose for the cam cuddle. Pat and Pauli is what they should have called this.

Anandi plays the saucy maid with whom Pat has a scene ó nudged by the fact that the wife has begotten him both daughters. Anandiís seductively taunting expressions were the stuff blackmailing is made of. Looks like good upcoming actresses have competition coming up.
