Ranchi, Jan. 20: The district administration’s timing regulation to shield students from cold wave over today, the institutions can now chalk out their own schedule.

Deputy commissioner K.K. Soan said the district administration regulated 10 am to 3 pm schedule for schools came to an end today. Schools have been asked to decide their timings according to the convenience of students and the management, Soan said.

Even as most of the schools will decide on their timings next week, Bishop Westcott Boys’ High School will reopen on Monday after the winter vacation and will implement the usual timing from 8 am. While St Xavier’s School will return to its old timing from Monday, Sacred Heart Convent, DAV and Bridgeford schools will continue with the 10 am to 3 pm schedule till next week. Officials of Sacred Heart said they were keeping an eye on the weather and would decide accordingly. G&H High School officials said they would be open next week only for two to three days, so the present timing may be on till January 31.
