JB Chem SEZ in Gujarat

JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals will develop a special economic zone (SEZ) at Panoli, Gujarat. The project will involve an estimated investment on infrastructure of about Rs 115 crore. JB Chemicals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to this effect. The SEZ will be completed by 2009.

Samsung

Samsung and Google have entered into a global cooperation pact. Samsung mobile phone users all over the world can access Google products and services. Samsung mobiles, equipped with Google applications, will help consumers search information, find locations and check their mails.

Kale Consultants has bagged an exclusive order to develop a web-enabled solution for multinational company Direct Logistics. The solution will cater to various arms like sales, export, import and tracking and also provide routine management information.

The India Infrastructure Initiative (III) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat government to develop 2,000 km of state highways.

Jaybharat Textiles and Real Estates Ltd’s net profit has increased to Rs 7.52 crore in the third quarter ended December 31 from Rs 6.75 crore a year ago. Net sales have increased to Rs 62.82 crore during the quarter from Rs 52.06 crore in the previous year.

Tata Indicom has launched online store I-choose for mobile phone subscribers. Customers can now buy postpaid connections online and handsets will be delivered within three working days. The online stores will cater to over 400 cities.

Bharti Airtel has launched Voice SMS in the city. Voice SMS is a personalised message service that enables users to send a message in their own voice and

Spot billing

The spot billing system has been introduced at the Garia office of the West Bengal State Electricity Board. The system has also been introduced at Dasnagar and Chandannagar offices of the board.
