BCCI wants update on Munaf

Mumbai: Miffed over the manner in which Munaf Patel’s injury has been handled by the Indian team’s support staff, especially physio John Gloster, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dashed off a letter to find out the update on the pacer.

“A letter has been sent to Gloster to get an update on Patel regarding his (ankle) injury,” said BCCI chief administrative officer Ratnakar Shetty on Thursday.

[The Telegraph had, from Durban itself, raised the issue of Gloster needing to explain what Patel was doing in South Africa despite being not hundred per cent fit.] (PTI)
