Bips blows her top

Bipasha Basu was at the IFFI and gave a lot of corporate gyaan to attending pressmen. But she got upset when quizzed about John Abraham. Well, Bipasha, if you choose to flaunt your relationship, the media will keep on asking you about these things, especially when you meet them on their home turf. So it’s time you learnt to handle the press better. At least be more corporate in your approach and don’t blow your top.

Sallu’s Bharat Mahaan

Salman Khan is acting in a film called Mera Bharat Mahaan, which is being produced by his secretary Vikas Kapoor. Sameer Karnik, whose earlier film Kyun Ho Gaya Na' starred Aishwarya Rai and Viveik Oberoi, will direct the movie. Kapoor is following a well-trodden path — star secretaries like Rikku (Madhuri Dixit’s secretary), Ajay Devgan’s Man Friday Kumar Mangat, Sanjay Dutt’s secretary Pankaj Kharbanda and Akshay Kumar’s secre-tary Bali, among others, have also produced films.

No place for Manisha

Manisha Koirala had a bad experience at the International Film Festival in Goa. Manisha — who was at the festival with brother Siddharth to attend the screening of her film Anwar — was not allowed to park her vehicle at the place where she was supposed to attend a conference and was virtually driven out. Siddharth was stopped at the entrance by security men who confiscated his wallet, claiming that it had set off the metal detector.

Dancing Queen

nHema Malini feels that the best thing that daughters Esha and Ahana have done is to learn classical dance. “It is very good that children today are interested in learning classical dance. I see so many enthusiastic kids in my institute who are eager to learn all the time,” says Hema, who hosts an annual classical dance programme to commemorate her mother’s death anniversary.

Asha and Urmila

After Sanjay Dutt and Brett Lee, it’s Urmila Matondkar’s turn to sing a duet with Asha Bhonsle. The song is a fun number in which Urmila and Asha praise themselves playfully. Called Main Gurshabab Hoon, Lajawab Hoon, the song, set to music by Shamir Tandon, is part of an album called Asha and Friends being produ-ced by Mauj.
