Climax replaces Deepak

New Delhi: In a last minute change, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has decided to replace Deepak Mondal with Climax Lawrence in the Asian Games squad, according to sources.

India’s group in the Asian Games has also remained the same as the Asian Football Confederation has decided to allow Iran in the Asian Games.

The squad

Goalkeepers: Sandip Nandy (Mahindra), Subrata Pal (Mohun Bagan), Subhashis Roy Chaudhary (Mahindra). Defenders: Surkumar Singh (Mahindra), N S Manju ( Mahindra), Anupam Sarkar (East Bengal), Habibur Rehman Mondal (Mohammedan Sporting), Debabrata Roy (East Bengal). Midfielders: Steven Dias (Mahindra), Bungo Singh (Churchill Brothers), Subhash Chakraborty (Mohun Bagan), NP Pradeep (Mahindra), Gouramangi Singh (Sporting Clube de Goa), Climax Lawrence (Dempo), Chandam Chitrasen (Churchill Brothers).
