Calcutta: Korea rode a Lee Sang-ho hattrick to rout Kyrgyzstan 7-0 at the Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday to book a berth in the quarter finals of the AFC Youth Championship.

Korea had defeated Jordan 3-0 in their first game, while Kyrgyzstan got a point following their 1-1 result with India.

The Koreans went one up in the sixth minute through Lee Sang-ho. Shin made it 2-0 in the 13th minute.

An own goal by Stepan Miagkih made matters worse for Kyrgyzstan after 20 minutes.

Shin scored his second goal after half-time, while Lee made it 5-0. Shin converted a penalty to complete his hattrick and turned provider for Park Hyun-beom to round off the tally.
