Gangtok, Oct. 23: A holiday to Gangtok proved fatal for a family from Darjeeling when the Wagon R they were travelling in fell off the road at Lower Martam on NH 31A.

Two of the passengers — Fransisca Sherpa and Rajen Limbu — succumbed to injuries at a Siliguri nursing home today. The vehicle, which was going at high speed, plunged 500 ft below the road around 6 pm yesterday.
