Four Soft to buy FWL

Mumbai, Oct. 23: Logistic software solution provider Four Soft has entered into an agreement to acquire the freight and shipping business of UK-based FWL Technologies for a total consideration of Rs 10-12 crore. The acquisition includes IP, staff, customer contracts and business assets, a Four Soft release said here today. The buyout will enable Four Soft to expand into shipping liner software business, while further consolidating its coverage in the transportation and logistics vertical, it said.

Intel boss

Mumbai, Oct. 23: Intel Corp chairman Craig Barrett is coming to India on a two-day visit on November 2. His primary aim is to drive the ‘World Ahead Programme’ with communities, government and academia.

Palm oil rates

New Delhi, Oct. 23: To check prices of essential commodities, the government today extended 10 per cent customs duty cut on the palm group of oils to two more months till December 31.
